    Setting up Tubs.

I finally got tubs so I can get rid of these annoying tanks. I just have one issue.
The lid can be pushed up somewhat easily in the middle and I couldn't find bungee cords that would make a tight fit. My dad suggested just making holes and using wire to make it secure, is there something easier than twisting and un twisting wire I could use?
And is it ok to just use the UTH's I have taped to the bottom? They are on a thermostat.

I would avoid using wire at all costs.

To secure the lid I would use a luggage strap, they are pretty easy to get ahold of and are completely adjustable.

UTH's are the best way to heat a tub, but a thermostat is required.

Some folks use straps with a buckle. The UTH is fine on a T stat.

You should be able to find something in your local wall*mart, Check the automotive section for these:

You can use Flexwatt on tubs right? That is, with a thermostat.

Flexwatt is just a certain type of UTH. Flexwatt works great, and yes as always is must be regulated by a thermostat.

Grab yourself a bookshelf, wire the flexwatt inline shelf to shelf, plug it into a thermostat.
Take the shelves and nail them in so the tub barely slides in between the shelves, no need for straps that are a hassle

I no longer use these bookshelf racks but they sure worked good to get me started.
