Cool My Crested Gecko Collection (a.k.a. my cresties in a light tent) - MAJOR DUW

So my light tent is still setup from last night and after getting some amazing advice from Simple Man I got some much better results when I tried to photograph my cresties tonight. So here is my crested gecko collection (I had trouble picking just a few pictures).

Starting with the smallest, first up is Edgar from Wally Kern of Supreme Gecko. He/She is currently to small to sex at only 3g, but I was hoping it would turn out male when I named it. Now I'm hoping it turns out to be female. I also didn't want to stress it out too much so I only got a few pictures.

Next is Spook the Halloween Crested Gecko from a local breeder. Probable male.

Then Jinglebells (named by my 7 year old sister), from the same local breeder as Spook. Unknown sex.

Annabelle from Reptile Rapture - my first. Sexed as a female.

Cleopatra, also from Reptile Rapture. Sexed as a female. Annabelle ate her tail before I separated them.

And last but not least, Ivan from the same local breeder as Spook and Jinglebells. He is a proven breeder male.

    Thank you.

Ivan is awesome and the breeder I got him from really didn't want to let him go but she had no use for him and needed the space. He's a super sweet heart in addition to being nice and firing up whenever I handle him.

I'm using a Canon PowerShot A2200 HD. It's a mid range point and shot that only cost me about $100. I really want to upgrade to a DSLR sometime this year.

    Thumbs up

I see you've become addicted, they are such amazing little creatures.

Jinglebells is a nice looking pinstripe, looks like it'll have some big crests as well. I LOVE the shot of Annabelle looking directly into the camera, HOTM material. I don't know if I'd consider Spook to be a halloween. They are supposed to only consist of a distinct orange and black. Maybe it's just the lighting but it looks more tan/yellow, but that could all change with age. I'm always surprised how much they change from hatchling to adult.

Brian knows what he's doing with his light tent. I've put off making one for far too long. Thanks for sharing the collection, I love seeing those little faces!

    Thank you.

They are super addictive and if I had the space I would get more.

Spook was sold to me as a halloween, the breeder got him from someone else and decided that he wasn't worth breeding because he has very little crests so I got him for $15 as a pet (can't complain about that ). I couldn't get him or Jinglebells to fire up for me but they both get pretty dark. The only time I've ever seen them fired up was when I picked them up from the breeder. If Spook isn't a halloween then that's okay, he's still really pretty and the name still fits because he's pretty flighty still when held.

The difference between these pictures and the ones I took of my ball pythons last night is almost night and day. Brain really helped me out and I'm glad to know my camera isn't as bad as I thought it was. I think I may do a re-shoot of my ball pythons using the new settings soon, but I paired some of them up last night so it can wait.
