I'm sorry to say that what you have there is either a very low quality pastel or more likely a normal.

when you get to the album page, just copy the bottom code below the pictures and paste them directly into the text box, dont go through the insert picture thing

I got my pastels from Justin Kobylka Reptiles and they are great:

    My female:

    My male:

Great animals and a great guy I definitely recommend him.

Yeah those are some nice pastels. I should have investigated mine a while back but since it was so bright yellow i just left it alone until it just got darker and darker.

Don't worry to much about it...the first snakes I bought were both sold to me as morphs (one of them as a pastel) and neither were. I have since sold them and own 7 snakes (all within about 6 months). I know how your feeling and I know it sucks.

Pastels will brown out as they age, but they never look exactly like normals. I recommend getting a bunch of side by side photos, and comparing until the differences stand out better for you.

That is a very nice, light normal, a pretty girl...she's lighter than some pastels, to be sure, but she does not have the pastel gene.

I'm sorry this happened to you. But on the upside, at least it's a female. Females gain value no matter what morph they are.

I've gotten a pastel from Ben Siegel. I won one off his facebook auctions. It was a positive experience and the transactions went smoothly. However, I think I would rather buy directly from his website next time. And in my opinion, Ben has a huge variety of pastels. I've seen the cleanest, brightest, most perfect pastels from him. And I've seen the most ugly, speckled, and brown from him. So choose carefully.

This is the pastel I got from Ben: Not the brightest, but not the worst either. Blushing is definitely his strong point.
