Reptile Basics Hide Recommendation
I am looking to purchase a couple hides from Reptile Basics. I have a baby ball that currently weighs 110 grams. What size hide would I need, small? I read the descriptions and it really doesn't give a recommendation based on weight.
Thanks!

I started many BP's on the small hides from Reptile Basics and they were all around the size yours is and they worked great

I would go with a Medium size. It may be a bit large, but you can put some extra substrate or balled up newspaper in it to fill in some of the space if needed. The Smalls are really small and in a few months, your snake will outgrow them.

I would go with a small or medium. here are some pictures:
a mini, small, and medium

And the same shot with a 200 gram male Pastel

Remember they like their hides to be nice and snug

The smalls are great for a hatchling the size of yours, but like others have said they will outgrow it quickly. I start off with a small and then I graduate them to an intermediate sized homemade hide (Target plastic bowl). Eventually I graduate them to the medium hide. That will last until your BP is approximately 1200grams. Then I bump to the large hide (bigger than I prefer at 1200g but it's what I have.. Lol). I love RBI hides, I just wish they had more intermediate sizes.

I totally agree with this. The smalls are reeaally small and you can always fill up the space in the mediums with crumpled newspaper or sphagum moss....

This is the description from Reptile basics website:
Large size Reptile utility hide boxes- 13.25"x9"x3.25" tall. Our new and improved hides are made of heavy 1/8" thick polypropylene and are nearly unbreakable. They now feature smooth inner and outer surfaces for ultra easy cleaning.:cens0r: Unlike competing products, these have the door offset so your snake can really feel secure rather than much of the front being exposed.
These are designed to fit in most major brand 28-41qt tubs and are well suited to the Iris CB-70 tub. We like this size for average size adult Ball pythons, medium boas and Woma pythons. Remember-You want to select a hide that will be a snug fit for your reptile. If it is too big it will not offer the security they need! Planning on buying a rack from us? Buy your hides at the same time and save even more!!
