Re: Chimeric Rat? Split face coloring.

So called "English" Minks have black eyes. I have both the "English" Mink variety as well as the more commonly seen Ruby/Red Eyed.

My guess would be Black and English Mink.

Your rat, TruedatxD, does not display any physical attributes of a chimera.

The vast majority of chimeras, display in ways that you cannot see. Such as, part of their internal organs may be chimeric, or the roof of their mouth might be chimeric. It's very rare to get a chimera that displays on the coat.
In theory, you could also get a chimera that is half dumbo and half normal eared, wouldn't that be interesting?

Sorry for "reviving" old thread, I found it via random picture search on google...

Anw, I'm really interested how your rat turned up?
Did he/she had litter and what kind of?

Cause I have almost exact one!
    And I'm from Croatia x)

    Here's my Loki

People on NFRS and other forums offered me their litters and money for him but, for a start, we weren't even close for exchange x)
    wouldn't give him anw

Most of them said he wouldn't be fertal but here's some of his baby's from different litters

He came from a snake breeder so I don't know his parents but he sure has a lot of different genetic material lol

So I am really interested how yours turned up to be
