axanthic lines?
With the different lines of axanthic out there which line as adult seems to not brown out as much? Joliff, VPI, or snake keeper? If you own one pics with what line would be awesome, thanks all.

I don't have pics but I have the TSK line I'll be working with this year.
VPI seems to keep it's colour the best, It's the one breeders are buying for their own breeding projects. Mind you every axanthic line has good and bad examples, but VPI seems to lead the market with better quality and colour retention. TSK line browns out the most and often times, the end result doesn't end up looking like much more than a normal ball python.
If your working with a TSK line already, your best bet is to throw some pastel in there are brighten it up (which is what I am doing) - but if your looking for a line to work with, VPI every time.
this link will show you the difference in the axanthic lines http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/axanthic/

Re: axanthic lines?
I'm excited to see more of the black axanthic line VPI is working with. Looks like they only proved it out to be recessive in 2008, so it may be a while until we see much of them. Nice looking snake, said to hold color completely as it grows. Can also be seen on World of Ball Pythons.

I'm not huge fan of the black ax, or the red ax for that matter. Never got into the colour on them. The blacks remind me a lot of the cinnamon which i'm not a big fan of either. That's just me. It is interesting to see what they may go into though.
Cheers.

Yeah it's nice Justin has a morph101 on it. I'm just itching to add something else to the collection and thought I'd look into axanthic some. Need some more females

well to me they do, I'm just not a huge fan of the dark, heavy patterned morphs. there's nothing wrong with them - they just don't do anything for me.

Re: axanthic lines?
The red axanthic is another one I'm a big fan of....I'm generally a fan of darker, busier morphs. Best thing about it though is that it's a super form, so anything paired to it would produce minimally all het red axanthics. the het red combos I've seen are all pretty nice too, and there's a lot more to be seen from them in combos.
