    Help with tank setup.

I am getting ready a new tank for my snake and I made a water bowl. When I put it in I realized that I would have to tip it up on its side. Sould I get a smaller water bowl or I was thinking about putting in a fountain. What do you all think?

What did you make the bowl from? How big is your tank and how is the rest of your setup? I would stick with a water bowl without a fountain IMO.

It is a 55gal and I have plants and two hides and I made it from metal and a plaster but I put a non toxic clear coat on it. I made to bowl to fit the tank but did not even think about changing the water.

If you are going to spill water every time you lift the bowl to change it, then you should get a smaller one. I have to remove the glass from the front of my enclosure to get the water bowl out without spilling and I gripe about it every time, but I spent $22 on the bowl, so I am going to gripe a little longer. Just starting with the right size bowl is way better. Also, you never want to spill water in your enclosure, that is just asking for mildew and possibly scale rot.
