Rubbing eye against glass until it turns white (with video)?
A few weeks ago, I posted the following thread entitled "Weird white lining around one eye (NOT eye cap)?":
http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...e-(NOT-eye-cap)
Now, I seem to have caught how this happened on video (note that the action starts at 14 seconds, and can be viewed in 1080p if desired lol):
http://youtu.be/0IcwGjppcUE (link is to youtube but it is youtu.be since the listing is private)
She just shed a few days ago, by the way.
Anyone know why this is happening? I looked for mites but couldn't find any... Other than this she doesn't do anything that would make me think she has mites.

Also worth mentioning is that she ate about 2 mins ago (as in, after the video was taken).

That's wierd... I have never seen something like that...
There's only two things I can think of personally that may or may not be it..
1) Are you sure it doesn't have mites? Or something else is in its eye socket? There may be something stuck in there that's causing him discomfort and he's trying to get it out?? Just a thought, also I'm not sure what you could do about it, if this is the case other than contact your local rep vet.
2) When was the last time he shed? Is it possible the eye caps are stuck and he's trying to get it off? I don't think that is what is happening as his eye looks clear from the video - and I imagine an little bit of that behavior would free it.. but I thought I would throw that out there.
I wonder if he could be doing further damage to his eye? I would contact your local vet and consult him.
Goodluck and Keep us updated!

Ooops sorry, just read the rest of your post (I should have done that first, sorry) LOL.
I would still contact your vet, maybe he has something stuck down in the socket. What kind of substrate are you using?

Just curious, what type of substrate is that?

Yes, it is cypress mulch.
Thanks for the feedback. I don't know if she has kept doing it since my original post.
Unfortunately a vet is unlikely to happen for me for numerous reasons. Is there some way to get more info or ask a vet without actually going there?
