No that sounds about right. Check the females and see if all of them are gravid.

It all depends on the snake, but it does sound a little quick. I started pairing in November, four of five are now off feed (females), and two of them recently shed. Based on what they did last year, though, I don't expect ovulation until early Feb for two of them, and later for the others. They might surprise me, who knows.
Keep pairing until you see obvious signs like an ovulation (or eggs). I very much doubt that your girl in blue is having her post-ovy shed only a month after starting to pair, especially if she's still eating, but anything's possible.

feel for follicles you can tell if she is ready by the size of them.

Re: getting confused
I think I am in the same boat. My girls are very shinny right now with a blue hue. They don't normally look like that. Also their colors have lightened up. They are not in shed and I'm pretty sure they haven't ovyed yet. They have been locking up though.
So just to be clear... are there 2 "in blues"? Once before ovy and then again after before lay?
Thanks
ps not trying to hijack, just thought we had the same question.

Re: getting confused
I'd guess your not even close to eggs if you started pairing a month ago
Bowl wrapping, staying on the cool side, lumping up and laying on their sides, all signs of heading towards ovulation.
They don't become gravid in 1 month, unless the female was growing follicles before she came to you.

They shed just like they do any other time of year during the entire breeding process. You would need to see the tell-tale signs of a gravid female before you can say if they were in their pre-lay/pre-ov shed. There is a stage called building that your girls could be in. They get pretty big, but it's a while before they ovulate.
