When do BPs reach adult size?
Jackson is growing like a little weed, just getting bigger and bigger! I'm enjoying the days that he can wrap around my wrist or curl up in my sleeve, but just curious: How long does it take for them to reach their maximum size?

Idk how many exactly, but I would say at least 4 years before they reach their maximum size.

Hm, that just goes to show you what the pet store people know! The people who sold him to me said he'd be full grown after a year! He's getting to be a year old and he's still just a little guy. (Certainly not tiny, but not fully-grown-looking!) Thats cool, thanks!

From my knowledge most of a BPs growth happens within the first year or two. After that growth slows down. It really depends on your BP and how much you feed it.

Snakes really never stop growing. Their growth rate just slows down the older they get. Does that mean your BP will just grow and grow and grow? No, of course not. But they do continue on a very small scale throughout their lives. That's why they shed - they continue to outgrow their skin.
Having said that, we usually consider our BPs "fully" grown at around 3 yrs or so. And that's somewhat subjective as it does depend on how often you feed and prey size. And also whether or not your BP is a solid eater, lol...
