To op look and ask questiongs and if any thing else make note ( or record them ) and do extra research. Some times the reason the one not busy can be casue they not the best in the area.
I tried to answer the vet question in my reply below..
but I agree. A sticky with ALL the reptile meds way thy do, And how they're applied would be a good sticky!

biggest thing is dont let the vet talk you out of getting a culture and sensitivity test done. the culture will tell you what is the best meds to use the sensitivity test will tell you if your snake can handle the meds that need to be prescribed. dont just let your vet prescribe broad spectrum anti biotics.

for the small increase in cost could save you tons of time and possibly more vet visits

I am not 100% sure but I believe that if the snake has been on anti biotics the culture is not going to be accurate once on them you need to continue culturing at this point may not be effective. I heard this from my vet tech I believe it to be accurate but have also not found a second source yet so...

I actually asked this last night is this thread and it didn't post. I heard as well on here, And from my vet.. (who did meds first and didn't do a culture first...) a culture wouldn't be a lot of help. His last shot was just two days ago.. I don't think it will give me results back tbh.. if it would I'll do it though
