Recommended thermostat?
My wife & I just built a 4 shelve rack, each rack holding 2 tubs. So, I will be running Flexwatt under the tubs. What thermostat would you recommend? & are there anything that could control all of them at once?
Thanks.

I personally would recommend a proportional t-stat (I like herpstat but the competitors also make great units) This type offer the most amount of versatility.

You can likely also use an on/off type they do well with in direct heat (like racks) and stable room temps, also like racks.
I would also suggest that as one t-stat is protecting the health and well being of multiple animals that a failsafe is prudent and a wise investment as well.

I was looking at the VE-100 any reason you would go with the 200 over the 100?

The 100 is an on off unit. The 200 is a proportional unit that is a huge difference. I believe the herpstat is slightly less expensive.

as stated, the 100 is on/off only, the 200 can be set either way
you are also going to get 5 or 6 different answers here as everyone likes each one of the good t-stats out there

No arguments over the quality of the 200 or helix or ecozone or herpkeeper or habistat or herpstat or... they are are basically the same some have more features some less but as I have my likes and Pit his but we both agree on the flexibility of porprtional units. An added bonus is using controls designed with reptiles in mind will only generate more products with reptiles in mind. That will only better the industry in general.

I always recommend the herpstat by spyder co. But Helix and Vivarium Electronics makes great products as well.
