    making switch to tubs

Im now making the switch from tanks to tubs. I dont have a snake rack yet. With the tubs should i drill holes in either the cover or sides? If so should i drill alot of them?

Are you buying a rack or making one? I would drill the holes in the sides and then find a rack or build one where they would fit snugly enough so there'd be no need for a cover. Thats just how i would do it personally bc im kinda lazy and having to slide out each tub and take off the cover seems like a pain lol but its totally up to you! As far as how many holes i would start out with fewer then see how the temps/humidity are and if u need to adjust it you can always add more holes.

If you can't afford a rack, a tub with the lid on is the next best alternative to using tanks.
You can pick up a book shelf, nail the shelves close enough together to keep the snakes from pushing the lids up and escaping, add some flexwatt heat tape and ...

It may not be pretty, it may be somewhat of a hassle, but it flat out works, and tubs with lids hold heat and humidity better than most cheap melamine racks.
