[Salamander Rising]

my dumeril's boa (recently named helena) just shed last night. It was the first time i've gotten to watch it take place in person. It would have been a complete shed if she hadn't shed part of her tail first. Her head wasn't even started and i realized that after i pulled her out. I put her back in her cage and she started rubbing her head against the side and started the shed for the rest of her body. :d

She will most likely be between 5-7ft full grown. She's currently in a Zilla 30 Breeder, but I will eventually put her in a 4X2 or 6X2 enclosure.

They're a super friendly species of boa and even though she isn't used to human contact she's generally okay with being handled. She's a little flighty right now though.
