bp off feed

New to keeping bps. I have a 2.5 ft normal female ball. When, why and how long do they go off feed?

They tend to go off feed for breeding season. I have two males that have been refusing for about a month and a half now with zero interest.

I wouldnt be to worried about it as long as it's not losing a lot of wait in a short period of time.

Get a digital scale and keep track of his weight. A healthy bp can go a lot of months without feeding with little to no repercussions.

Is it usually only older ones that do this or have you seen young bps do this? Thank you for the help

It's not terribly uncommon for them to stop eating during the winter, some say because of breeding season. I tend to wonder if it's because temps are dropping and they can't digest if it's cold. I would keep a close eye on your temps and make sure that the cool side stays fairly warm. If your temps are fine, then it may just be the weather change. I only have two girls that aren't eating very well for me. One of them, that's normal, but the other one just started her fast. That's only 2 snakes out of 20 some that I have that aren't eating as well now that it's cold.

Glad to see I'm not the only one having that problem. Ever since I've had her since August, every 4-6 days I feed her, she has never refused a mouse. Just tried feeding her a mouse (last feed was 6 days ago), she just circled around it with no interest. She's a do or die eater, she'll eat anything. It's so weird to see her act this way...I hope it's not too long that they go off feed...makes me worry.
