    Dilemma

So my boyfriend brought home a Leo that his friend wanted to get rid of. I can't say I'm excited about it. We live in a one bedroom apartment and I currently have 2 BCI's in QT in my living area while my ball pythons are locked up safely in their bedroom rack.
I'm unsure what to do with this Leo, can they transfer anything to snakes? My sister owned a baby leo a long time ago, but I've personally never had a gecko and don't even know where to begin.
If it's going to stay though- I want to do right by it
Any advice would be great. Thanks

If anyone know about any parasites that are transferable between gecko's and snakes, I would truly appreciate it.

Garrick Demeyer, who runs Royal Constrictor Designs in the US, houses all of his hundreds of ball pythons and geckos in the same room. Here's a video of him touring his facility. So I am guessing it's okay because he produces high quality snakes. Good luck with the gecko!

    X2.

I would still keep that Leo in quarantine watch period anyway...

    Re: Dilemma

I don't know if there are parasites that can transfer or not. But I do think the risks of airborn issues are slim to none. I wouldn't worry about the gecko being in the same room, so long as you're sure it's free of mites. Then proceed to treat it as IF it were in QT...don't share any tools between cages...always wash wash wash between handling critters....stuff like that.

EDIT: I don't even know if the snake mites we're always worried about will get on geckos...but any crawling bug is something you want to avoid spreading around.
