I would say it depends on how large the rat was (was it a pup, weaned, small?). If after 5 days you still see the bump from it wait until 7 days or so to feed again and make sure your temps are spot on so he digests properly.

I feed my little ones every 5 days on a prey item that is ~10-15% of their body weight and they are healthy and thriving.

Aye I feed every 5 days for little guys as well. But the best way to tell when to feed again after a large meal is when your snake acks hungry. He will be in ambush mode with his head just inside his hide watching for prey

If u were feeding the appropriate size before but had to go big this time then wait 7 days. Offer again in a week an he may or may not eat. No big deal either way. But if he doesn't eat make sure u wait 5 days before offering again.

I would just feed your next scheduled day, if he doesn't feed then wait until the next scheduled feed! It would hurt him to wait if he doesn't eat the first time! They will tell you when they are ready! Hope this helps!
