favorite way of thawing out frozen feeders
I'm thinking about starting to feed f/t and was wondering how other people thaw out their frozen feeders.

Re: favorite way of thawing out frozen feeders
What I do is - the morning of feeding day I remove them from the freezer and put them in little plastic baggies - let them thaw all day in the refrigerator. When I get home from work I lay them on paper towels in the snakeroom to get the scent going - then around 9pm I soak the rat in a plastic baggy submerged in a mason jar full of hot water - 20 min later they are ready to eat. Works like a charm.

fridge over night. About on hour before feeding I bring them out and allow them to prescent the snake room and warm up to room temps and then blast them with a hair drier.

I do the same - into the refrigerator the night before an hour or so before feeding, put in the room on a paper towel (on top of a grate), then I put them under a heat lamp for 20 minutes.

I pull them out put them in a small plastic tub and let them thaw at room temp for about 3-4hours (Depending on size) and heat them for 30min under the heat lamp. works great for me.

I remove mine from the freezer the night prior to feeding night and allow them to thaw in the fridge. I remove them from the fridge and put them in hot water (usually have to change the water about 5 times to keep it hot) and can feed most right out of the water. I have 1 that likes his hit with the hair dryer for a couple minutes before he'll take it.
This is the only method that I've found that avoids exploding rats.
