    BEL combination help?

    Hey Guys,

I was looking into making BELs next season and my original Plan was to get two Mojaves. The more I look into it the more I like some of the other morphs that can go into a BEL. I was thinking of doing a Lesser X Mojave, or a Butter X Mojave. Do you guys have any opinions or suggestions?

Whatever I get I want to be able to work it into other breeding projects in the future. Do you guys have experience with making BELs? And does anyone know if there are any slight differences in the outcome when pairing different combinations?

    Thanks.

My plan was for Lesser x Mojave, since they tend to have less dirty heads, but I think Lesser x Lesser and Butter x Butter both have even more clear heads without the Mojave in the mix. I guess it's all what you want to work with. I don't mind a little "dirt" so I'm probably going to still aim for my Lesser x Mojave pairing

Do you want to make mojo and lesser combos down the road or just lesser/butter projects?

Mojo/lesser BEL's have more potential in making different combos than a lesser/butter BEL, but if you aren't looking to do any mojo combo's then do a lesser/butter pairing.

Sometimes it's not what the combo looks like but what you can to do with that combo down the road.

I understand i think what your talking about with more potential. But in breeding a mojo/butter to whatever, you will only get one of them and you can't control which one. I (at least at this point in breeding) would prefer with a super to know what it's going to pass along. Depending on the breeding though I guess. Breeding a mojo/butter to a mystic potion would work.

Im going along with the mojave x mojave for my BEL project. I personally like how they look, Still there is nothing wrong with owning 3 white snakes all slightly different, Mojave x Mojave, Lesser x Mojave, & Super fire or Sulfer not sure what one will be my next grab thinking Fire tho. ( i know that the fire and sulfur dont make BEL but they are still white with black eyes)

I was thinking I might go with the lesser x mojo. I like the dirty heads personally and I do want to work with both genes in the future. I like the idea of having three white snakes though LOL. I have lots to think about I might set up a poll with all the options Thank you everyone for your input

I'm doing Lesser x Mojave, most of the ones I've seen are super clean.
The only "dirty" ones I've seen is from Mojo x Mojo

Generally mojoxlesser, butterxlesser, and mojoxbutters make the cleanest BELS. I only have 1.1 mojos and I'm going to try it for giggles and see what happens. I will eventually get a lesser or butter and work on making a cleaner BEL, but for now we'll see how it goes!

    Re: BEL combination help?

Most breeders are now focusing on making mixed BELS ie Lesser(butter) same thing LOL x mojo or Mojo x mocha and het russo to any of those examples.

We are trying to avoid the bug eyes, from what has been shared 50% of Super lessers will have the bug eyes this problem is minimized a bit with the other mutations.

Now when it comes to looks some of our more experienced members have said that the Lesser x mojo is as hott as the super lesser. I can't wait, I'll know myself by the end of this upcoming season as I'm going to put my Super mojo to a couple of female lessers.

Also nothing wrong with a Super mojo I love mine but they don't compare to the others mentioned.
