Grumpy?
How can you tell if your snake is grumpy and doesn't want to be held? Our 6yo girl just started her first shed with us, and we handle her every day. Trying to figure out if she's the type who doesn't mind being handled during shed.

I handle mine even if they are grumpy. I get hissed at all the time. Grumpy balls tend to be very tense. I have a few that will strike too. I don't handle when they are in shed though. I think it's better to just leave them alone and let them shed.

Once big snakes go into shed they get left alone, I'll handle them to change their tub but otherwise I let them alone, most don't want to be held during shed period.

I agree with this.

Re: Grumpy?
I avoid handling mine while they are in shed. None of them act "grumpy," but why add to their stress unnecessarily?

Get another one to play with while she's in shed...problem solved! And then if their sheds start to sync up...another one... Seeing a trend here?
