New BP, have questions
My BP is about four months old, and I have had her for just over a month. When I first got her, she was in a shed, and very, very, shy. She finished up her shed about three weeks ago, and it looks like she is about to go into another. Unfortunately, I can't tell for sure. I haven't had her long enough to really know her habits.
Also, she seems very social, which I understand is uncommon for BPs in a shed. The last one, she stayed in her hide the entire time, but she was also adjusting to a new habitat.
So my questions are: is this shedding time frame about right for a BP her age? Do some BP's stay somewhat social during the early parts of their shed? Also, if she is this social, should I feed her? Thanks in advance!

there's nothing wrong with attempting to feed her once a week weather she eats or not, but offering food more than once a week to a non-eater will only stress the snake out.
i'd say a young ball python shedding every 4-6 weeks is completely normal. The faster they grow the more they shed. If it sheds well (all in one or two pieces) then i wouldn't worry at all. if the sheds results in of a bunch of little pieces of skin everywhere increase the humidity

Hello, and to BP.net.
Here is a thread that should help you with identifying the signs of when they are going into shed.

She's an unusual eater, but she does eat. Her shed was all one piece, so I will stop worrying over it so much ( which is no easy task for me, LOL.) Thanks for the info.
