You could get another UTH and plug it into the t-stat that the lamp was plugged into. Set it around 80

Temps are always more important than humidity. Low humidity generates bad sheds low temps mean the animal cannot digest food septesemia and eventually death.

The easy solution is a humid hide and forget the ambient humidity. It is simple and easy.

Re: cant get humidity abover around 25%

When I used tanks I covered at least 3/4 of the screen top with glad press n seal, I would cover everything but where the lamp sits more if you don't have a loap on. It sticks on great and keeps the humidity in much better. I use coco bedding for all mine, it's great because you can regulate the humidity. I pour a bit of water in one corner of the tank, just a small corner so your snake is not sitting in wet bedding which is bad and/or mist them 1-2 times a day depending on where the humidity is at, more if it's lower or they're in shed. I also use a temp gun to check the temps so you have a accurate way of checking the temps everywhere in the tank. Other ways may tell you the air temp and the temp your snake feels at the bottom of the tank may be much different. I only have two snakes still in tanks and they have one heat pad each with a thermostat, 2 pads and a lamp sound like a lot.

A humid hide can be made from any container or hide just place peat moss or spagnum moss inside damped and done. The only concern is to avoid closed holes U shaped holes are best snakes can never get stuck in a U.
