Another feeding thread
So i just got my new orange ghost to take a rat for the first time yesterday (for me), I'm guessing he has already had a few but i was still happy!
Also I'm wondering at what point you decide to start giving your growing hatchlings 2 mice (I cant get rat pups or juvies). Should i just weigh the snake and the mice and do the 10-15% thing? I just feel like my male pastel is always hungry

I would think 10-15% of body weight is always a safe bet if your feeding every 7 days.

Re: Another feeding thread
when you feed your snake, look for a lump in the stomach. if you don't see one, go a little larger the next feeding. the lump shouldn't be huge but you should be able to tell that the snake just ate. as long as you can see this, you don't have to worry about 2 mice until it get big enough and a large mouse can't be seen. and don't worry about feeding mice. I have a few females that are mice feeders and they are over 4000 grams. they eat somewhere around 2 to 3 mice and I offer every 3 days. you will get to know what and how much to feed your snake by feeding and seeing the results.

Ok, thanks. It's just hard because it's a small local pet store so mice and rat sizes vary and I never really know what they will have. I guess I just feel like my little ones are growing slowly.
