I want a ball python tattoo....

Hi everybody. I want a ball python tattoo. Why? Because snakes have always fascinated me, and I'm becoming more and more enamored with them, and passionate about their care (and anything related to it) and because it means so much to me I think a BP would be a good tattoo.

My question to you is, are there any artists on BP.net that would be willing to assist me in coming up with a good ball python tattoo? I'd appreciate it if you could!

First..I have a question..are you looking for a particular style..Realistic, stylized, tribal, etc? That REALLY changes who you should get the tattoo from in general! Some people who are GREATE at stylization are terrible at realistic animals. What do you want in general?

Hi! Great question. I want something realistic, simply because I think that would look the coolest . If I could get the artist (I know one here in town that does incredible work) to use one of my ball pythons as a reference, that would be awesome, but I don't know how well it would work out.

Edit: As for what I want, I'm thinking just a snake either coiled or partially coiled and stretched a short ways down my arm, I'm not sure how either would look on me, that's something I'd discuss with the tattoo guy.

You'll have a lot better luck searching for an artist in your area who does the style of work that you like. Once you pick the artist for the job, they will generally include drawing and designing the tattoo in the price of the piece. Then you can talk to the artist who will be doing the work and either work out a time to bring the animal in for him to draw from, or find a pic of the animal to take for reference. No matter who you find on the internet who is willing to draw something up for you, any tattoo artist worth his salt will end up redrawing the whole piece to fit the flow of your body and to make the design appropriate for tattooing. Not every picture or design works as a tattoo and nobody would know better than a tattoo artist what works and what doesn't...

I agree! with the above! Make sure you have a good amount of dialogue with your artist and you are both on the same page. It really helps when the artist loves what he's doing(like if he loves drawing animals or loves a challenge) because they get excited and want to do their best!

Re: I want a ball python tattoo....

Ive been toying around with how to incorporate ball pythons into my tattoo plans as well. For any naruto fans out there, I have Orochimaru's Cursed Seal of Heaven on my left shoulder.

Ive been wanting to do the spreading of the curse mark, but didnt want to mimic sasuke's pattern.

And the one idea ive have for the pattern has been either a normal or bumble bee ball python Pattern. Though im not sure logistically how feasible this is, I think its a really fun idea and im excited to start sketching it = D

This isn't the best picture of mine, but I LOVE being able to represent my love for these creatures.

It took me a long time to find the right artist... But it was worth it. Be patient. It's something that will stay with you forever. Get it right.

    BP tattoos are fricken awesome!

I am getting a full sleeve some time next year and I'm going to have ball pythons incorporated into it. I'm excited to see how yours turns out.
