    Male back on feed question...

So I finally got my male bee eating again after his post breeding fast of almost 5 months. He didn't lose much weight, but I'm wondering how long I should keep him eating before I think of breeding him again. I've heard that unprepared males can cause slugs...

I've never had that issue. I've had boys go on fasts for up to 10 mo and still produce. If they are smaller males and they quit I Give them a few meals before pairing. If its an adult male they can keep going. Just at Least try and offer.
