hi everyone my son has a dragon and last night he went and pick him up and he had this heavy thick droll coming out his mouth . his cage temp is 80 to 85 he has a hot spot about 90 to 95 no runny stool . he is still eating his greens and crickets is this normal or should i be worried

Have you checked out the caresheet? Hot spot should be 110...I'd double check your husbandry.

Drool in beaded dragons is often a reaction to something. Was he fed anything other than greens and crickets? What kind of greens? Is there any way your son fed him something other than what you know of?

mustard greens kale and collards everything is washed before he is fed so far this morning if ahave not seen the drool again i got a vet appointment monday so i will hold out till then the guy who gave him to my son is also coming by today to see if i am doing anything wrong with him

If he's not drooling anymore, are you sure it was drool and not water after a drink? They don't drink very often so it can sometimes look like drool after they drink...

just want to say thank you first off and to be honest with this is the first lizard i had in the house there care is alot differnt . it could have been i cant say for sure .

I'd say if it doesn't continue, don't waste your money on a vet. I think as long as your husbandry is corrected and it continues to eat, and you don't see this drool again than it's safe to say it was just water from drinking.

I have to agree with L. Bearded Dragons can be messy little creatures. Keep an eye on him, you might have just come down with a bad case of new owner jitters. I get them almost everytime with a new species.

How old is this dragon. 110F is recommended for babies and juvies, but 95-98F is fine for adults. What is the rest of his setup like?

i bumped the heat pad up to 100 yesterday and so far now more drool just going to keep my eye on him for the next couple days and see what plays out
