Im looking to get into breeding in the next few years, so im going to start building my collection soon,

My question is, is there a benefit to using a male of one morph instead of a female and visa versa?

Example, would breeding a male mojo to a female normal have the same outcome of a male normal to a female mojo? is there better odds by doing it with a certain gender variance?

Statistically its the same regardless of if the morph is male or female. If that is the actually reality I don't know, but I would think so.

I think from a collection stand point you benefit more from having co-dominate females and dominate males if you are just starting out. Say for instance you could only afford a spider and a pastel. It would be better to get spider male and pastel female because then you could breed a bee son back to mom for a shot at a killer bee sooner than if you had wait to raise up a bee daughter to breed back to a pastel dad.

If you can only have 1 morph, it's better to have your male be the morph because males can be bred to more than 1 female per season. So you could breed a mojo male to an average of 2-5 female normals.

You hit it spot on too, because ive got a normal female and i wanted a mojo so i was torn between getting a female mojo and a male of another morph or a male mojo to pair with my female so thanks!
