Possible stuck eyecap?
So my BP shed just less than a week ago, and she has what looks (in my unprofessional opinion) like a stuck eyecap. I don't want to mess with it if that's not what it is, but at the same time if it is stuck shed, I don't wanna leave it on there! I've soaked her a couple times since she shed, and the humidity has been at roughly 60-70% since, but the whatever-it-is hasn't changed. It looks cloudy, and I can see the outlines of scales on it. Also it sticks out a bit farther than her other eye and from the top, the sticking out part is clear, as if it is sitting away from her eye. Any thoughts on how to safely remove an eyecap, if that's what it is? I don't want to hurt her eye.

I've had to remove stuck eye caps before, and what I did was just soak a Q-tip in (clean) water. Get the eye wet with it by gently (very! gently) running the Q-tip along the eye. After a couple minutes the cap cap just came off with gentle rubbing. Is the eye dimpled??

If it is a stuck eye cap (pictures can help confirm this), then try placing her in a damp cloth bag/pillow case for 45 minutes to an hour. Make sure she can't escape from the bag. She will rub the eye cap off as she tries to get out.

I've used A&D ointment with great success. I put some on the stuck cap when I know they are about to shed then soak in a little water with a towel. Has worked every time without the risk of damaging the eye and with little stress to the snake.

Re: Possible stuck eyecap?
tried to take a couple clear pictures of it.

in the picture below, you can see how my hand shows 'through' her eye.

I soaked her for a bit this morning so I'm going to let her relax until tomorrow, then I'll try the pillowcase. Thanks for the replies!
