Re: Bumble Bee Vs. Killer Bee Please help.
here is the girl in question... I did not make her...
She was a slow starter food wise, but is now eating regularly. She was born in June, so that makes her 5 months old. Dad was a bumble bee. Mom was a pastel.

What do you think and WHY?
thanks!

I guess its pretty easy when you have both in a clutch but I understand where your confusion might be if you only hatched one of the two. I think the best indicator is the head, killer bees have barely any pattern on their heads.

Look like a very nice bee to me. The killer bee usually has much more faded stripes at that size IMO. Definitely a hard one though.

First look on the head pattern also make me think bee, just doesnt pop to the killer

Bee. I hatched both this year. A killer will have grey lines not black on the body and the head would have little to no pattern. My avatar is the killer I hatched.

Just so I can get some practice in identifying morphs...
Top Left = Normal (could be a het though)
Top Mid = Pinstripe
Top Right = Bumble Bee
Bottom Left = Super Pastel
Bottom Mid = Lemon Blast?
Bottom Right = Killer Bee
Am I right?
PS. I didn't read the description so never mind the Bees ><

bottom middle looks like a killer blast to me.

without a head shot the bottom left could be just a pastel
top left wouldnt be het for anything if they are all from the same clutch, no recessive genes in the pool that are seen

Not a killer, Killers are dramatically cleaner.
