Bumble Bee Vs. Killer Bee Please help.
Lets say you mate a bumble bee to a pastel. You get 4 eggs.... 2 pastels, 1 spider, and one bee thing. How do you know if the bee thing is a bumble bee or a killer bee?
What exactly should one look for when trying to identify one of the two?
Thanks,
Mike

I think killer bees are much whiter when they first hatch.

I believe the differences is in the blacks. Killer Bees seem to have almost gray appearence to the blacks. Their heads are also much lighter in color than bumble bees. I've never hatched either, but when looking at killer bees and bumble bees those are the differences I see.

The difference in the two is pretty obvious.

Here's a clutch with one of each, right out of the eggs. Bumblebee is top right, killerbee is bottom right.

Looks to me like the black (especially on the head) is faded quite a bit on a killerbee.
0.1 Blue Beauty Snake
1.2 Normals
0.1 Mystic
0.1 Pastel Poss Het Ghost
1.0 Banana Bumblebee
0.1 Common Snapping Turtle

So is it possible for a bee to have fading inside of its black stripes? Or is that only killers?
