Watching TV?

so my bp cage is near my tv and whenever i watch tv, i can see him "watching" it as well, anyone else get this? is he watching it or just trying to figure out what all that movement is?

It could be the sound, I know if I vacuum in the snake room they all pop their heads out and "watch", it's most likely because he's being disturbed by the sound lol.

I agree, it's probably the sound. I don't think reptiles or really any animal (except maybe dogs that see other dogs barking on tv but most don't do this) have the higher brain functions required to actually watch tv as we do.

yeah i figured, cause he just sits with his head outside of his hide, laying it on the ground

It could also be the heat of the tv.

I've had a couple of my snakes "periscope" in the direction of the TV when I have them out. I figured the movement was what attracted their attention.

I figure it is most likely the heat but only one of mine loves to hang around my neck and stare ate the TV as well she prefers Bones though?

I've noticed this too. It turns out TV's emit some infrared from the screen, so they may "see" it as a blob of heat and IR. . .
