Super pastel question

So... Say you have an a++ pastel and a ugly duckling pastel. You breed them and get a good looking super. Now breed that super to a normal. Do you get a chance of a++ pastels and ugly duckling pastels or do you get a mix of the 2 sets of genes giving you a mid quality pastel?

You can get gorgeous pastels from an ugly one, ugly pastels from a gorgeous one, and everything in between. However, your odds are better of getting a nice pastel if you start with good looking parents and vice versa.

the genetics that cause the "high quality" look in a A+++ super pastel have nothing to do with the pastel allele.. and are most definitely polygenetic. In other words, it's hard to predict, but you tend to get better looking offspring from better stock. If the grandparents on both sides are a mix of A+ and C- animals, yeah there's a good likelihood your offspring will have some diversity if quality, though most likely you won't have too many that are surprisingly ugly or surprisingly beautiful.
