Snakes ok without water for 2 nights?

I would have to agree with almost everyone else, I think it would be worse to have cold wet snakes for two days then no water, as they don't outright drink a lot anyways.

Thanks I think I will leave the water out. It will only be till Sunday afternoon so they should be good. I am going to pick up two 30 tub rack systems from ARS in a few weeks and that will cure everything. Sadly it isn't the adults that spill their water. It's the Juvi's that love to topple the bowls over. I use deli cups with holes cut in the lids but they still find a way to spill them. I worry more about them sitting in damp tubs and risking RI or something else.

I wouldn't like to swallow a rat whole once a week as my sole source of food. Treating your snake as if it were human is about as silly as treating a human as if it were a snake.

As mentioned before, your snake will be fine for a few days. They can go extended periods of time without access to a water bowl and be fine.

For most of us, our hatchlings sit in water for a week until their first shed. Ball Pythons are a very hardy type of snake. They wouldn't even blink for 2 days without water or 2 days in a wet tub. Their tub still has the heat on it, so even if the water spilled, It's not going to be cold....and they'd appreciate the humidity.....

Its probably more or less settled and closed, but I see the responses are pretty evenly split between leave it in and not to leave it in. I feel that if its anything under a week, with a healthy, well fed well hydrated snake, you should really take the bowl out if you risk spilling it, especially if its not crucial in keeping humidity up. Unless you'll dip to below 40% without it, I think itll be good. Snakes in damp conditions (which would usually signal cool as well) get easily stressed out, and if its cool as well, easily sick. And its having no access to fresh drinking water should not be a problem and would cause little stress, if healthy and humidity is up. Few snakes drink regularly, at least in my experience, and it is widely accepted that they get a large portion of their hydration from their food and less from drinking. So there really shouldnt be a big issue with the absence of a water bowl for a short period of time.

you could always fill the water bowls half or quarter full too. Enough for them to access if they need/want a drink, but not so much that if it spills you have a swamp happening.

This is what I always do. I have to refill them more often, but it keeps spills and messes to a minimum.
