I agree. Looks like my fawns. I have fawns and champagnes. They are very similar but the champagnes are slightly more orange and brighter plus the eyes are a brighter ruby color. The fawns are a bit more drab like yours with paler ruby eyes.
They are often much lighter as babies and since I usually have fawns and champagnes in the same litter, it can be hard to tell them apart as babies unless they are right next to each other.
You'd think I'd separate them huh lol

I've only worked with very bright fawns. Haven't seen this shade yet.

I don't know now.. I just went to look at my rats and my fawns are lighter. More creamy like a pearl fawn. The one in your picture is darker so I'm not really sure. It's like my eyes are playing tricks on me every time I look at your picture and I can't judge the color right. Is it more brown? More orange? More rosy?

Pretty sure it's a fawn, they come in bright and dark coats depending on the agouti that made them, some are more orange than others and some are quite dark.
Champagnes must have bright pink eyes to be a champagne and fawns must have ruby colored eyes to be a fawn.
