    ID-ing T?

    hey there fellow Ts keeper..been a while since im here( even lost my acct) I recently bought over a small sling (about 1-1.5inch) Taran from a friend of mine and would like to identify it with the help of you guys it was orginally bought as a assorted Tarantula from Florida..

    To me, given that it's supposedly USA native, it looks like it could be Aphonopelma cochise or Aphonopelma harlingenum, but those aren't really native to FL, so I'm pretty stumped. You could try taking the picture over to the people on arachnoboards.com because there are a ton of members there that are good with ID's , but you may never know for certain.

    On a side note, that's not a very good substrate for the tarantula IMHO, you'd be better off switching to coconut fiber (i.e. Eco Earth).

    Thanks for the advise will change the substrate later.. hopefully Its female .
