    This is awesome!!!! My spider(male) x spotnose(fire?)(female) :)

So I wasn't sure if this would even happen, because she is a rescue and she was in such bad shape when I got her. And I know and have read that when they get up in years they can and have turned and just eaten the male. Don't know if it's true or anybody has ever. But well she's 12-15 yrs old and she's one of my rescues. So I put her in with my male spider and I have been watching, and he's a Don Juan, he was caressing her with his tail and she stretched out and he was caressing her and she starting tapping her tail, and wala!!!! I have a lock, OMG I'm freaking out!!! Here is a picture!!!! Enjoy!!!!

Never heard of the female turning on the male and eating him, that sounds like a myth to me.

I read it in an old ball python manual type book, I was kinda nervous about put'n him in there except since she is a rescue and was housed with 3 others she is used to being with others in small quarters already.
    Thanks for the congrats!

To me she doesn't really look like a spotnose either. Do you have better pictures? She looks like a big normal, pretty girl though

I hope I get all of my males through the breeding season,
I hate when they get eaten....j/k

Your female looks like a normal, no spot nose head pattern and I don't see fire either, just a nice large normal, good luck making some spider babies.
Have you prepared for the out come with an incubator, a place to house the hatchlings, etc...?
