The humidity issue

So I do understand the problems with both low and high humidity, including dehydration, bad sheds, and possibly RIs. But how big are the risks and what are the real boundaries and how far would you push it? Like, what if I have a constant 50-55% humidity, which is slightly low for BPs, and increased to ~70+% only during shedding? If they have good sheds, have water and are eating well, how 'fine' is this?
What about having a daytime humidity of 65-75%, on the high end of the 'golden zone', but at night having it drop down to ~45%?

And then there are certain rainy periods around here where humidity can spike up to 90+%, and I am aware of the risks of this for prolonged periods, but without having actual moisture and dampness, how long can this go on for or at what point should I reduce it?

Of course at the moment all my BPs are in a well controlled environment with hopefully perfect husbandry at pretty constant levels, but I was thinking of setting up a display in the living areas of the house and I'll get slightly less control with that. So I'm exploring these options.

I have two of my BPs at slightly higher than recommended humidity, and to be honest, they seem happier. They feed better, shed better, and their skin feels better than the ones I keep at recommended humidity. I don't know, but it works for me and my BPs.
