    To make sure I by-passed the digital part without fire risk. The thermostat is wired directly to the heating element now. I did leave the on off switch working

    I run mine 24/7 to heat my snake room.

    I have it hooked to a herpstat in proportional mode. The built in thermostats are notoriously bad so rather then using that. I have it set to be on full blast and my herpstat cuts it on and off as needed. LOVE this set up.

    Room is always 77.2 giver take.

    I have an oiled filled heater on a Rancho thermostat. I run it 24 hours a day 7 days a week 365 days a year, and have never had an issue.

    hello just want to
    inquire what brand and model
    of thermostat you guys use to handle a 1,500 watts oil filled heater coz i believe helix and some
    only can handle 800 watts... thanks

    I leave mine on 24/7 unless the room is really hot, then I'll switch it off for a while. I manage it manually, just adjusting the temp as needed.
