I need advise please about this male

He is a 100% het pied (not produced by me and not proven though) dinker. He is an early 2010 and I have had him since he was around 300 grams. He is 1200 grams and never bred. He looks very enchish to me pattern and colors. However, I have zero plans for him and am back and forth about selling him. However, I am unsure as to what the price should be on him. My other problem is that I really do not want to ship him. He had an RI earlier this year but got past it and has gained 600 grams since. Although I think he is healthy enough to ship, I do not want to take any risks especially since I have never shipped a live reptile before. Opinions please. I would really like to use the rack space for a snake in my plans but just can not decide. HELP.

    Ok wow.

He is really, really, really nice looking. I can see why you are having a hard time deciding.

If you told me he was an enchi, I'd believe you. I know you hesitate to sell him as such, because if he isn't, the buyer would not be very happy with you. I would have no idea what to ask for him.

If you sold him as a 100% het pied male, you could probably ask $150-$175. Figuring in his unique pattern, I personally would add another $50 - $75 to that figure. If you are uncertain as to the het pied part, then it gets really tough. Given that he's so unusual, I'd guess you could still get $100 - $150 for him as just a dinker male.

If you were close to me, and depending on his price, I'd almost be willing to take a chance on him myself. Bred to a spider, clown or and other female with reduced pattern, I'd be willing to bet he'd throw some sweet babies. I know I'm not much help.

I have no reason to disbelieve he is a het pied but can not guarantee it since I did not produce him. He is really orange and looks like many enchis I have seen and looks better than several I have seen for sale lately. However, I bought him as a het pied dinker as part of a package steal (I mean deal) and have not bred him so this is all speculation. The problem with enchis is that they can be a subtle morph. It could be enchi or just really cool normal right? Pair an enchi with a lesser and it becomes obvious though. The het pied is easier to prove but I have no pied female. Paired with a het and a miss could be the fault of either het so no guarantees there. I do plan on obtaining a female pied in the next year BUT she will be grown and used exclusively for producing hets for my big project plans her first and perhaps subsequent seasons so no chance for this guy to touch her. As a pied producer he is worthless to me. The only reason I keep him is the cool pattern. I would like a female enchi in my collection some day

But yeah I think you could get $150 for him easy.
