    Alright I have a problem.

So yeasterday I came home to feed nzuri and the tub was completely fogged up from condensation (99% humidity! ), it seems nzuri spilled some water and it got really humid. Its been getting colder so I turned my ceiling fan off which may have helped make it really high. So I drilled a crap load more holes in it and the hunidity is still at like 75%. There are 50 holes! I mean jeezzzz.....what can I do?

Can't you just clean and dry the tub and put him back in?

I did. The problem is I still have really high hunidity regardless of how dry it is. As I said there are about 50 holes in it and the humidity is still wavering around 75-78%. Which I would much prefer around 60%.

If it's in a rack system, make sure you dry the "ceiling" of the slot he's in. Sometimes condensation can build up there and often gets overlooked when cleaning tubs. Other than that, I'm not sure. When did you measure the condensation? If you did it right after cleaning, it will always read high. If not, I don't know. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Give it some time and recheck later today.

Do you have any holes in the side of the tub? You can drill as many as you want in the lid but if there's none in the side your humidity will stay high.

Condensation happens to me also. I just clean it out make sure everything is dry. Repeat when necessary. I try to make sure the water dish isn't over the UTH.

warmer room temps. Condensation can happen with humidity as low as 20% if there is enough temperature difference. Think about taking ice cream out of the freezer it frosts up that is the same principal. Ventilation is under rated I prefer to more than less. Be careful that you don't end up equalizing the room temps to the tub. If that is what is going on. I have condensation issues in the winter as my room temps are often 15ºF below the ambient air temps in the enclosures. I just wipe off the condensation and go on my way it is only the front of the enclosure in my case.

Well I only have holes on the sides not the lids. The water dish is already pretty small, about 3" in diameter. I will check again later today. My room is already at 55% or so with my big fish tank running so, yeah I will check it later. I'm just really scared of a uri. That's like my worst nightmare. Is there any other possible things I can try if its still super high?
