    Here's Some Pics, Finally

Here you go, guys! I finally found myself a digital camera, so I took pics asap. Oh, and don't mind the retained shed. He always has trouble getting the portion on his upper neck off(the rest comes off in almost one piece, though). I've tried baths and wet rags, but the damn flap of skin seems so stubborn. If you're wondering why the water is tinted blue, I have a small amount of Gatorade diluted in it for electrolytes to prevent dehydration(Yeah, I read up on the proper ratios). I buy tons of the stuff, so I have plenty to spare for regular refills.

Anyway, this little pastel(male) is named Schemer; I named him after the giant rat in the Dark Brotherhood's Cheydinhall Sanctuary(ES4: Oblivion). I always loved that little(haha, paradox) guy.

Here's the link to my PhotoBucket album containing these photos(it's private, so there's a password prompt; the password is his name, no caps): http://s1092.photobucket.com/albums/...leHobo/Snakes/

I'll add more as he grows or his setup changes.

I just pointed out the password. Do kids these days read? I'm kidding. Here you go:

Here's my current(temporary glass tank) setup.

    It's a bit blurry, but here's a headshot.

Here's him wrapped around my hand. Clear quality.

I know, right? When I was still in the planning phase over a month ago, my mother was screaming; she was going on about how "it's going to be a monster" and "escape and eat the dog." Sadly, she didn't know anything about this particular species.

Lots of people have biased fears against certain animals just because they've heard they can be deadly, or just one specific species that stands out as a "monster." I mean, my neighbor came over today to help fix a lock(funny story...) and she was scared [to death] when I had my BP out. I quote, "I just can't stand snakes." Do you know how vague that is? Ridiculous. Ball Pythons are extremely docile. Fears are illogical.

    He is very cute.

As for posting pictures, most people aren't going to take the time to open a link to see your pictures. You will get a lot more responses if you put the picture directly in the post like you did.

I wouldn't say it takes much time, but I appreciate the advice.

Here's some more; I didn't upload them all last night. My room is dark, so I had the flash on making them a bit overexposed.

He's coiling around lucky bamboo, by the way.
