Talking Confirmed female Poecilotheria subfusca today!!!

Confirmed my suspect female Poecilotheria subfusca as a difinite female today

Before the molt (no after shots yet though):

    Ventral (looking very girly):

    Confirmed female

And here is a confirmation that my Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens (GBB) is indeed a female also just for reference:

    Old pic of her:

    Thanks for looking

Thank you!! The smaller they are the harder it is to guess. With a good molt you have your best chance of determining gender. Looking ventrally some are eaiser to tell what they are going to be then others. Post up some good pics when you need to and I will certainly do my best at guessing what it is!! This is a pic of a versicolor molt showing a female just for your reference:

The female who the molt came from:

Thanks!! I noticed you have not been on much lately and I guess I know why now And as for what I am getting that is a surprise None are confirmed sex wise and most are small. Some of which I had before but do not currently keep. One more of one I already have. Quite a few good ones I have never kept but have been very interested in keeping. One that is kind of rare and a dwarf. The order was/is expensive and already half paid off (so I didn't have to pay it all at once). Just paying the other half the day of my birthday.

LOL - Thanks Kara!!! A few came from friends as unsexed juvies but they were nice enough to let me look at a ventral veiw of the T before I bought them which gave me a good guess on the sex they were going to be but with no guarantee. This one though was really a shot in the dark so I lucked out on this one. I bought a P. metallica that was a little smaller then the subfusca and that one is a molt or two away from giving me a good guess at sex but if I had to guess it now I think it is goig to be a male. That would be the 3rd time I have bought a P. metallica sling and it ended up being a male I usually do horrible whenever I buy small unsexed slings so I am counting on most of the ones I am getting for my birthday to turn out to be male - lol. But it happens some times you know. You take the good with the bad but hope for the best Just have to find the males some pretty ladies when the time comes I guess
