Quick calico pricing question

I've been looking around at calicos and have noticed a large price gap from $400 to $900 on similarly weighted and sexed animals. Also the prices I have seen have the males priced higher than the females. Is this because they just havent figured out the market value yet or because males can breed younger or what? Just curious cause this seems like to large of a discrepancy. Thanks

Males mature faster and can breed to multiple females producing more offspring. It's not unusual for this to happen when a morph is popular or new. In terms of price, that is entirely up to the breeder. I've seen some large discrepencies on Calico pricing. Not too long ago they were very inexpensive. Only recently with all the fantastic combos being created have the prices gone up and stayed up there.

Calicos are also graded similarly to pieds in the amount of white they have. More white = more expensive.
