    I quarantine new animals for a full 12 months. If I'm going to breed them, I can breed the quarantined animals to each other during that time, but they won't go in with the rest of my collection until a year is up. Too much risk, otherwise.

    Normal babies get sold. I sell some of them locally, some are shipped, and some go wholesale. People who want a pet are generally looking for normals, and I have had no problem selling out of them, either.

    thanks that is really encouraging actually, my biggest worry about breeding is not being able to sell the normals, which is why i'm debating about getting one as a breeder

    I don't think it's a waste if you are just starting out. I'm trying my best not to keep normal babies or buy any normal breeder females now that I have a few morph females that will be ready next season. So far I'm doing alright Eventually I will sell a few of my adult females, but for now I have four and I almost wish I had more!
