Pastel ball python
hello i purchased a pastel ball python from a very good reptile shop, now i see pastels in pictures and on kingsnake.com and i feel like mine doesn't have the yellowish appearance that i see in a lot, now im thinking it might be a black pastel ? can any one help!? Click link for pic thanks!

Can't see the pic because I don't have a FB account.
I can tell you that regular pastels and black pastels look nothing like each other though.
If you're talking about the snake in your avatar, I can guarantee that it isn't a black pastel. It looks like a regular pastel to me or even a very light/more yellow normal. Bigger pics would help.

Many Pastels aren't nearly as bright as adults as you see in baby pics. There also may be a shed coming up and you will see a whole new snake after. The nice thing is that even a "browned out" Pastel can throw some super hot babies if that's what you're planning.

so "browned out" means what exactly, im new to breeding balls, and how do you feel about orange ghost. i wanted to try to breed him with a 100% het orange ghost pinstripe, but i cant seem to find a female, and the cost is so high lol

Not a black pastel just a brown out pastel which is not unusual.

Same, I'd like to add a little male or female to my collection soon.
