As of right now no one really knows why some Black Eyed Lucys from fire x fire parings have yellow spotting and some are pure white. And BELs are always pure white (except super mojaves which have a purplish coloration to their heads).

Wow! Those are SMOKIN HOT snakes! I WANT ONE!!!!
Would one be able to conclude that there may be different lines of fires? One line that produces Black eyed Lucys pure white, and one that has yellow splotches?
I'd take either, or. They'd be a gorgeous addition to any collection, not to mention the breeding powerhouse!

I believe its completely random but maybe someone that has produced both kinds can chime in.

Re: Black Eyed Lucy Update!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone know if I breed a FireFly (fire-Pastel) to a fire. Will I be able to see if a Lucy had the pastel also?

You probably wouldn't be able to tell. I've seen these guys with bright yellow splotches and almost orange splotches. It would be difficult to know natural variation from one with pastel.
If it was a super pastel involved you could guarantee pastel in there, that would be a real nice powerhouse Plug that into any project to lighten it up!

Pretty good pics and great snakes. I think you have something leaking orange, because those white snakes have some orange drips on them
