Have some q's on breeding rats?

Ok so I'm about to adopt two adult normals. The guy who currently has them has them both in the same tank so I'm gonna get them and possibly breed? Anyways my question is what do I need to breed rats? I plan on euthanizing them for f/t @ various stages because I already have a baby normal? How hard is it? What kind of setup do I need? I don't want to breed rats but there's nowhere besides petsmart to buy them so....? Sorry the posts so long

Looks like it was moved ...

You just need a good rodent block, some good bedding, and water. It's pretty simple, and I would move the female out right before she gives birth and keep the babies separate from the male. So essentially you need 2 cages, and the babies can stay in there until they get to the size you want and euthanize. Once weaned you can put mom back in with dad as they do not go into heat again until the kittens are weaned. Also, the female WILL go back into heat within the 24 hours after birth, but after that not until the babies are weaned and then every 5 days. If you get her preggo right away it will be a longer pregnancy, about 32 days.
