clutch sizes?

Sooo I'm super stoked for when I'm final going to be able to breed my snakes but i still got a bit of time till there up to a good healthy breeding size. My question though is how many eggs is the average for weight approx.
example:
1600 grams.....
2000grams 5-6 eggs
3000grams ......
i quickly looked and couldnt really find anything,and i know its probably cause no two snakes are the same
but in your experiences have to seen a pattern for weight to clutch size?
It would be kinda cool to think about what i could get in my "x" amount of eggs approx while im waiting

I have never really seen a direct relation of size to clutch size. My 2800g female laid 8 eggs while my buddies 2500g female laid 2. I think it just depends on the snake.

[There isnt any real relation, the only thing that does realte but is not 100% is age. Very and very old females will lay less eggs while "prime" will lay more. But once again this isnt always true

yea I knew before I asked the question that there would be no exact answer.
but I'm hoping a few more people reply to this and I can take some of that data and just make a approx hypothesis on the relation.
just something to think about when I'm bored and thanks for the info its greatly appreciated.

Typically larger females put out heartier eggs, however I've also seen 2800+ female put out 4 and a 1600 put out 6. So weight probably correlates more to healthier eggs.

I would say just use 6 eggs per female as the number for your hypothesis. Some may lay 8 or more and some may lay 4 or less but at the end a you will be close to 6 eggs per female. If you average higher then you had a great year.

So far I have had 25 eggs out of 5 clutches so I am sitting on 5 eggs per female.



Just dont count your snakes before they hatch. Just my thoughts.

Thanks, it's been a great ride this year, I never expected so many females to go gravid but I'm completely happy with the results so far.

Lots of work breeding rats, lots of feeding up females and juggling males, but in the end loads of fun
