Congrats , I had 2 deliver yesterday 24 pinkies total. Fed off all but 5

These are too little to feed to my snakes. And I hope a few are gonna be holdbacks to expand my colony. The rest will more than likely find their way into the bellies of my snakes.

Aww, I'm sorry. I've only had her since Monday. She was prego when I got her, 3 other females and 2 males. I think one of my other girls is prego too(fingers are crossed), but not too sure yet. Can't wait to see the colors start to show! I feel like the proud mama!

I had 2 of mine have still borns, I fed them off. I will be monitoring their next littlers to see if it happens again, if so they will also be fed off & replaced.

I know that feeling! I had been on pins and needles for the last 3 days!

I read somewhere (I think on this forum) to cull, cull, cull in the beginning. So you end up with all healthy, well-tempered rats. So that is what i plan on doing too.

I don't know about tempers changing by culling, I cull and I don't cull and they are all sweet either way.
What you end up with is chunky little weanlings that weigh as much as a small size rat typically weighs.
When I cull down to 4-5 kits by week 2 the remaining ones end up HUGE at 4 weeks old
