    Feeding

    I just wanted to know when do you start feeding rat pups to you smaller ball pythons? like what gram range. Im not sure if i should start a couple on them or not.

    Just go by size. Feed when the BP is the same thickness of the rat pup, or thereabouts.

    I start some hatchlings on fuzzy rats right out of the egg. They move up to crawlers/pups when they're about 4 or 5 months old, usually.

    you can start almost right away. but 100+ grams is a good mark.

    OK well i have a male that's about 80g and another that's about 110g. I was just asking because my 2010 balls eat rat pups. I'm going to start rat pups next week then. thank you guys for the fast replies.

    np i have a 80gram female that will take a rat pup and a 200-250 gram male that eats weened rats.
